Farewell RadioQSO

So I have closed RadioQSO.us and this is permanent, all the manuals are gone and no I am not going to bother adding them to this site. I am tired and add to that I do all that work and it is for nothing. The only traffic it gets is bots and now AI slop buckets trying to leech. What is left is this site here and no idea what I will do with it honestly, this could be the last post I make on it or I might make another post weeks or months down the road I honestly have no idea. When 99% of the traffic is bots it just is not worth it anymore.

Ham License Counts

I will keep or try to keep the ham license counts going and updated they can be found at the following place Ham License Counts I should be able to continue updating it somewhat easy.

Dipole and ERP Calculators

The Dipole and ERP Calculators can be found via the links Dipole Calculator and ERP Calculator so these tools do remain.

Other Stuff

I am not sure what I will do about some of the other things I had on the other site, I may eventually move them over or I may not time will tell. I think I might move the OIRT band list over at some point but the rest of the stuff I really do not know.

What else

I am just tired, and honestly just don’t have the heart for the web stuff anymore. It really has become to a point where it just ain’t worth it. So many these days think the internet only consists of crapbook and sloptube. It costs money to keep sites online, this site costs me about $5 a month so not a big deal I guess but radioqso cost more due to it requiring more disk space. Having all the manuals I did have took over 10GB of space and when the only traffic ends up being bots it just don’t justify the costs.

Repeaters

I still own two repeaters but I don’t know for how long. I have been thinking about just selling out and walking away but I don’t know yet. I might move the DMR repeater out and keep the 2 meter machine or let them both go or keep them both only time will tell. I do have work I need to do to them and I honestly just don’t have the desire to actually do it, maybe it will change I have no idea.

Dead Internet

The Internet is dead. Back in the day a guy could put up a website and get human traffic somewhat easy. Hell I had old site 20 years so I started from nothing and within a month or two was able to get 100+ people signing up a month, but in 2025 that feat honestly is just impossible no matter what you do. You can not fight the spam sites and AI slop sites that search engines like google put at the top of the list. Like think about it when was the last time you actually found what you was looking for on google search easy? Its been a long time now and it is due to the seo spam sites and AI slop sites all get the top few pages and no average joe is going to wade though all that shit, they will just go to a crapbook group and beg for someone to hand them what they are looking for.

The days of surfing the net is over, the Internet is dead, Google killed it with its seo spam and AI slop. And don’t forget most internet traffic now is bots. RIP Internet.
